Royal Cashews, leading cashew processing and exporting company in Sri Lanka (www.royalcashew.lk) was conferred with Gold Award at NCE Export Awards – 2019.
The National Gold Award for the ‘Fresh and Processed Agricultural Export Crops’ category was awarded to the company at the 27th edition of the annual National Export Awards organized by the Sri Lanka National Export Board. The award ceremony was held at the Shangri-La hotel, Colombo. In the previous two years Royal Cashews secured two NCE Export Awards.
Dr. Ruwan Wathugala, Managing Director Royal Cashews, speaking of the newest Gold Award said, “Royal Royal Cashews as a leading Cashew processing and exporting company in Sri Lanka is honored to have this NCE national Gold award in 2019. We bring significant foreign exchange by exporting cashew products and this NCE national award for the third consecutive year is recognition and an endorsement that came our way”.
He also said, “Royal Cashews has standard certification ISO 14001:2015 EMS on international green-oriented proceesing, and ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP standard certifications on standardized food processing. Thus we are the only A to Z cashew processing company in Sri Lanka that has been bestowed with all the standard certificates needed.
He added, “We also export ‘Royal Cashew’ products to many countries and ours has become a preferred brand globally”.
Dr. Wathugala also said, “Royal Cashews was commissioned in 1999. We conquered Sri Lankan and foreign markets in a short stint. Winning awards of this nature contributes to our success story.”
