The world’s leading Bicycle manufacture the Giant Manufacturing Company Ltd., a Taiwanese corporation established in year 1972, would open their new show room in Colombo. The Giant Company incorporated in Taiwan and listed in Taiwan Stock Exchange with a Market Capitalization of TWD 80.4 Billion ( USD 2.68 Billion) and Revenue in excess of TWD 62 Billion (USD 2 Billion), has also appointed one of Sri Lanka’s leading bicycle manufactures, Asiabike Industrial Ltd., as their official distributor of Giant Bicycles in Sri Lanka.
“Giant” would setup a state of the art showroom in Colombo 7, to market their globally renowned Bicycles in Sri Lanka, which would open up the future of modern hi end Bicycles to Sri Lankan Bicycle enthusiasts. “This Mega modern showroom would be commissioned during the first half of 2020,” Asiabike Industrial Ltd., Managing Director Ifthiark Farook, said.
Giant Manufacturing Company Ltd is also an OEM Manufacturer for other global brands and would be next looking at sourcing some of their products from Sri Lanka by opening up a new avenue of foreign income generation.

This initiative was supported at the third Anniversary of Sri Lanka - Taiwan Friendship Association. The occasion also marked the one-year establishment of an office at the World Trade Center in the East Tower, Colombo, Sri Lanka, which houses the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) representative office.
The event was organized by the TWTC and Taiwan Economic & Cultural Center, Chennai (TECC), where Charles Lee (Director General TECC ) was the Chief Guest invited by Peter Fan ( Director, TWTC-Colombo).
