Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services Lanka to expand IT enabled services

The supplementary agreement being signed between BOI and Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd

 The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka signed a supplementary agreement with Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd to expand their IT enabled Services.

The project will provide IT enabled research and analysis services for export, provide editorial, desktop processing and compliance services, financial training, research, research and analysis services in respect of overseas and local securities and companies.

The agreement was signed by Mangala Yapa, Chairman of the Board of Investment of the Sri Lanka and Chanakya Dissanayake, Country Head Sri Lanka, Moody’s Pvt Ltd. The enterprise will set up their expansion unit to expand its activities by leasing out part of the 15th floor in the West Tower of the World Trade Center.

Chanakya Dissanayake stated “This expansion is the result of a mandate to provide credit analysis and research support services for corporate lending teams of marquee European banks. The expansion will result in an increase of over 100 employees for the company over the coming months and in 2020.”

He added “Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services Lanka (Pvt) Ltd has been operating since 2003 and currently employs over 250 investment industry professionals. The Company provides offshore research support services to leading global investment banks and asset management firms in the areas of equity, fixed income and quantitative research. These operations are currently housed across level 15, 32 and 36 of the West Tower of World Trade Center in Colombo.”
