Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka and Finance PLC joins hands with Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC to offer a special leasing package for ‘DOST’ Trucks.
This Partnership is focused to provide assistance for small and medium scale entrepreneurs who had experienced setbacks in their businesses due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The special leasing package will be provided to purchase Lanka Ashok Leyland ‘DOST’ Trucks enhanced with Euro IV technology.
The potential customers will receive special benefits through this leasing facility from MBSL such as free vehicle registration, insurance and lowest monthly installment amounts proportionate to their income. Leasing services will be provided with a minimum amount of paperwork within one day.
Sharing his ideas on MBSLLanka Ashok Leyland partnership, the Acting CEO of MBSL, Jude Gamalath said, “There has been a considerable collapse in the SME owing to the COVID 19 Pandemic. So, it is imperative that small and medium scale enterprises which substantially assist the country’s economy to be reinforced in order to strengthen the national economy. However, with the government strategy to rebuild businesses MBSL; as a responsible financial institution dedicated to assist the development of national economy took the initiative to build the partnership with Lanka Ashok Leyland by launching this leasing facility”.MBSL which was established in year 1982 became a public company registered in the Colombo Stock Exchange in year 1991.
