The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will be conducting the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2020 (BCCS Awards), with a revised application format and also a revised evaluation process in order to appraise the sustainability of the corporate and the projects during the current pandemic.
The new focused areas of evaluations will be on emergency preparedness, resilience and stakeholder management during the pandemic and also contingency plans of the corporate. Guided by the Panel of Evaluators of BCCS Awards, the Chamber has taken a progressive step forward, to conduct the BCCS Awards for the year 2020 using a digital platform.
The Chamber continues its commitment to support and encourage businesses to prosper even during these trying times. The BCCS Awards will play a vital role in inspiring businesses and to uphold their morale. The awards are not just for large corporations, but are a holistic competition which encourages efforts of smaller enterprises as well.
The BCCS Awards is one of the most anticipated events in the corporate calendar, with each application evaluated by Sri Lanka’s experts in the sustainability sector.
The Chamber expects to conduct the preliminary briefing on the application process over the upcoming weeks. Focal areas of the competition include environment, customer relations, community relations, governance, financial performance, and economic contribution, to name a few.
The Chamber will be posting updates of BCCS Awards 2020 on its social media platforms to create awareness amongst the prospective applicants.
