Chrishan Mendis B.Sc (Hons) FCMA CGMA FCIM & Chartered Marketer, joined the governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) from June 2020.
Now based in Manchester (UK), and from CIMA’s North West England & North Wales electoral constituency, Chrishan will serve three years representing the interests of its global membership.
Chrishan an alumnus of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, graduated with a B.Sc.(Hons) in Physical Sciences in 1982. He was admitted an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1986, obtained Fellowship in 1989 and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
Chrishan had his education at St. Peter’s College, Colombo and Royal College, Colombo. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM)UK and a Chartered Marketer. Having commenced his corporate career in the Hayleys Group in 1983 as a Management Accountant, Chrishan held many positions in the Eco Solutions sector in the group over the years and was the Head & Managing Director of the Eco Solutions sector from 2014 to 2107. He was also a member of the Hayleys Group Management Committee from 2001 to 2017.
With a professional career spread across Sri Lanka and UK spanning over 36 years, Chrishan has wide exposure in Accounting, Finance, Manufacturing and International Marketing being based in the UK since 2010.
