Dialog Appeals to Customers to Donate Towards Flood Relief for families in the North

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, announced the continuation of its successful relief programme, ‘Senehe Siyapatha conducted in 2016 and 2017, with a special focus on those affected by floods in the Northern Province.

The Company is once again inviting its valued customers to partner relief efforts by donating via SMS, Star Points or eZ Cash, and as done previously, Dialog will triple each donation.

Relief efforts are being conducted in partnership with the Sri Lanka Army, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Disaster Management.

The programme was initiated on 31st December 2018 at the Ministry of Defence, Colombo, in the presence of senior officials from Dialog Axiata, the Sri Lanka Army, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Disaster Management. The disbursement of funds and related activities will be independently audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

To donate via SMS, Dialog customers are required to type DON and SMS to 7700.

Each SMS will contribute Rs. 50 toward the cause with Dialog tripling customer donations by adding Rs. 100, contributing a total of Rs. 150 toward flood relief efforts.

Etisalat and Hutch customers may also contribute to this programme through eZ Cash.
