Ambiente is the world’s largest international trade fair for consumer-goods industry with a clear, target-group specific structure within the dining; living and sourcing, will be held in Frankfurt, Germany from February 8 to 12.
Sri Lanka has been participating at the Ambiente for over 30 years, while a number of industries have developed from this fair such as ceramic and handicrafts.
This year too, five exhibitors from Sri Lanka to participate will participate and showcase their products at the event.
The five companies are, Dankotuwa Porcelain who has been participating for the past 30 years, AMP Ceylon, Art Decoration, Gospel House and Handicrafts and Selyn Exporters. They will exhibit with the products covering interior decoration items, handicrafts, kitchen accessories & other consumer products.
The event also offers a unique spectrum of products for table, kitchen and house wares, gifts and decorative articles and interior design concepts and furnishing accessories.
The top 10 visitor nations at Ambiente 2018 after Germany were China, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey and the USA. There was also an average growth in the number of visitors from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Vietnam, as well as USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and South American nations, such as Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
Last year, Ambiente had over 4,441 exhibitors and more than 136,400 buyers visited the fair.
