Total vehicle registrations marginally reduced to 3,556 units in March down from 3,558 units in February but significantly down from 13,219 units 12 months ago. According to J. B Securities, the comparative figure was 35,150 units 24 months ago.
In the locally assembled category, Zotye Z100 cars recorded 22 units in March down from 79 units in February and 66 units 12 months ago.
Under SUVs/crossovers, Mahindra KUV 100 recorded 79 units in March down from 80 units in February. DFSK recorded 78 units in March down from 113 units in February but up from a mere 6 units 12 months ago.
2-wheelers recorded 965 units in March down from 1,239 units in Feb and 9,619 units 12 months ago. Of the 775-brand new 2-wheeler units TVS recorded 175 units.
Medium trucks recorded 250 units in March up from 216 units in Feb and 95 units 12 months ago. Brand new recorded 42 units and Pre-owned accounted for 208 units. Isuzu claimed a category share of 68%.
Hand tractors recorded 275 units in March up from 212 units in Feb and significantly higher than 23 units 12 months ago.
Large tractors recorded 740 units in March up from 485 units in Feb and 104 units 12 months ago.
