Two foreigners were among those who died of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka on Friday and Saturday, the Government Information Department said.
The number of COVID-19 deaths stood at 642 yesterday morning.
A foreigner (46) who was residing in Colombo 2 had died on Saturday while under treatment at the Kandy General Hospital. He was diagnosed as COVID-19 infected while at a private hospital in Colombo and later transferred to the Kandy General Hospital. The cause of death has been mentioned as Cardio Respiratory Arrest following COVID Pneumonia.
Another foreigner (63) who was residing in Colombo 4 haddied on Friday in a treatment centre in Colombo. The cause of death has been mentioned as COVID Pneumonia, Multiorgan failure associated with Chronic Kidney Disease.
