Senkadagala Finance PLC entered in to a Share Purchase Agreement with Candor Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd (CAM) which was a fully owned subsidiary of Eagle Proprietary Investments Limited on March 4, 2020 and has acquired 100% of the share capital of CAM for a sum of Rs. 26.7 million.
“With effect from such date Candor Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of the Company. CAM is licensed and regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) to manage Unit Trust Funds and Private Portfolios inclusive of both Conventional and Shariah compliant Funds,” company said in a stock exchange filing.
This transaction has received the required approvals of both the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Securities and Exchange Commission.
