‘MV Hoegh Tracer, the world’s largest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) belonging to Hoegh Autoliners AS - Oslo will call at the Hambantota port during the first week of March 2017 handled by Diamond Shipping Services. The vessel plying under MIAF service (Middle East, India and Africa Service) has 14 cargo decks to carry 8,500 Car Equivalent Units (CEU) and Hoegh Autoliners will use the Hambantota Port as a major transshipment hub for their cargo destination to various parts of the world.
