The Colombo Port City to be built on a reclaimed land in Colombo which was in a cloud of controversy and stalled due to series of issues is once again on track. The reclamation is carried out by China Harbour Engineering Corporation, who has been engaged by the investor. 125 hectares was the land was given as well as 88 hectares while owned by the government was planned to be leased for 99 years to the Chinese company.
