Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited (Allianz Lanka), one of Sri Lanka’s leading insurance providers, partnered with the Sri Lanka Police in conducting a COVID-19 awareness campaign recently.

This island-wide campaign commenced in Nugegoda, covering six police divisions within the Western Province and thereafter in Kandy covering 52 police divisions, reaching more than 150,000 people.

Representatives from Allianz Lanka joined Police personnel in engaging with the community and educating them on the effects of COVID-19 and the best practices they should follow to ensure their health and safety and that of their families.

The team carried out audio messages, distributed detailed leaflets and spent time educating the community one-on-one where required. In addition, they took the time to explain the importance of following the health regulations that have been issued as well.

Mangala Bandara, Chief Marketing Officer said, “The Sri Lanka Police has been playing an active role in supporting the government and health authorities to safeguard the lives of many. We are honoured to be partnering with them in what we feel is a timely exercise.

At Allianz, we believe in offering confidence and courage to help our consumers face the future. Initiatives such as this help us stay true to our purpose of helping people secure their lives for a better tomorrow.”

“We look forward to working closely with the Sri Lanka Police as we take this project forward to the other parts of the island.”
