National Development Bank PLC hosted the Bank’s quarterly on-line Investor Earnings Call on Auguts 4, discuss the Bank’s financial results from the Bank’s Head Office premises in Colombo, subsequent to the release of its financial results for H1 2020 ended June 30, to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).
The Investor Earnings Call was hosted by Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of NDB Bank, Dimantha Seneviratne, with the presence of the senior management of the Bank. The Call conducted via the MS Team platform comprised a presentation by the GCEO on the performance, as well as an interactive Questions and Answers session for the benefit of the participants.
The Bank’s Investor Relations Team facilitates this event and it is looked forward to by local and overseas investors, research analysts, stock brokers, fund managers. Hosting this event post the release of financial results to the CSE for the benefit of the interested stakeholders is a long standing practice of the Bank, and the Bank has continued same undisrupted, despite effects of the pandemic.
Sri Lanka’s Best Domestic Bank for two consecutive years as adjudged by AsiaMoney, NDB, recorded sound results for H1 2020 demonstrating its stability and resilience in the face of the economic and business disruptions resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bank also actively strategized and extended much needed support to the customers affected by the pandemic and initiated many plans, which would ensure wider benefits to the economy at large in its role as a responsible financier in the country.
The Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Dimantha Seneviratne, commenting on the Bank’s performance for the period under review stated that NDB’s strategic focus, experience and competence in weathering economic cycles, its talented pool of human capital with a customer-centric approach and efficient processes have enabled the Bank to perform well amidst challenging conditions.
