AAT introduces online studies for students, members

Sri Lanka is currently facing a crisis from Covid-19 virus and all the organizations and offices are closed since last 3-4 weeks. In this situation, AAT Sri Lanka moved a step forward into a different platform where students can do their studies via online. For the first time in the history AAT Sri Lanka conducted its’ first Webinar session to the AAT Members on last Thursday.

AAT Sri Lanka used a digital video streaming platform which is end to end encrypted for the host and the participants. All the members were informed about this seminar via a SMS and an Email hence it was a remarkable fact that many members were joined from Italy, USA, United Kingdom, Australia, France and Canada also.

The session was conducted by Deepal N. Perera, Senior Lecturer and a Management Consultant. It was session on the topic of “Surviving the recession in Business under Covid-19” which is the most needed topic to be consider after this situation.

The opening of the webinar was done by Russel Fonseka, President, AAT Sri Lanka and Tishanga Kumarasinhge, CEO, AAT Sri Lanka welcomed the participants. This first webinar organized by the Seminars andProfessional Development Committee under the initialization of Thilak Dharmarathne, Chairman of the committee.

Also, AAT Sri Lanka introduced the online payment facility for new student registration and renewal payments. Further students can send their new registration documents by email. Also pilot papers for the first examination from new syllabus were also released to the website. AAT Sri Lanka planned to conduct more webinars for the students covering all the subjects in all the levels in both the languages and invites all the students to keep in touch with their Facebook account and the website for more updates in future.
