People’s Bank holds Pirith ceremony at Anuradhapura Mirisawetiya Stupa

Offering of ‘Gilanpasa’ to the Maha Sangha by Ranjith Kodituwakku Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of People’s Bank

A week-long Pirith recital was carried out at the historic Mirisawetiya Stupa in Anuradhapura to invoke blessings for the battle to eradicate the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka and the world.

People’s Bank supported the Pirith recital held on September 11, which was the fifth of the seven days.

The ceremony, which was conducted in accordance to the health guidelines, was held under the patronage of Chief Incumbent of the Mirisawetiya Temple Ven. Ethalawetunawewa Gnanatilake Thera. People’s Bank Director Keerthi Goonatillake, Ranjith Kodituwakku Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, D.M.D. Dissanayaka Regional Manager (Anuradhapura) and E.M. Tissa Kumara Anuradhapura Branch Manager also participated in this event.
