Keeping in line with vision of the company 'empowering farmers and to reinforce the local food industry', Lakma Holdings Limited had it's preliminary discussions with the University of Ruhuna on possibility of introducing a healthy, nutritious - 100% local Cereal Breakfast to the local market.
'Cereal breakfast is commonly known as a food made from roasted grain, typically eaten with milk. But here we are discussing a product which is made out of 100% local sources not only from grain and to have it with just water instead of milk. It's an invention by Prof. (Dr.) K. G. Somasiri of the Medical Faculty of the University of Ruhuna, and this well could be the latest addition to LAKMA FOOD range soon' said Dr. Arosha Fernando, Chairman & MD of Lakma Holdings Limited.
'We are intend to work closely with the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the University of Ruhuna in bringing this as a 'Product of the University of Ruhuna' under the LAKMA FOOD branding' Dr. Arosha further added.
