Maliban Gold Marie recently bagged a Superior Taste Award by International Taste Institute (ITI) in Brussels, in recognition of the biscuit’s milky and sweet taste that appeals to many.
Headquartered in Belgium, ITI tests and certifies consumer food and drink products available around the world. Adjudged by an esteemed panel of international chefs, the award attests to the superior taste and quality of Maliban Gold Marie.
The ITI award stands as a testament to Maliban’s guarantee of a superior product. With the re-launch of the iconic Maliban Gold Marie, the biscuits are composed of wholesome and nutritious ingredients enriched with Vitamin A,B,D and E, along with a freshly accentuated milky flavour – meeting the demands of its consumers.
In order to win the Superior Taste Award by ITI, the Gold Marie biscuits were subjected to many stringent tests and evaluations, scoring according to the expectations from its category.
Demonstrating the expertise of the judging panel, the external and independent members of the jury comprised head sommeliers and chefs from many Michelin-star restaurants across various European countries, such as El Bulli (Spain), Ledoyen (Paris), Le Ritz (Paris) and Le Jules Vernes (Paris).
Speaking on this achievement, Managing Director of Maliban Biscuits, Kumudika Fernando commented, “This award is a direct recognition of Maliban’s strong culture of quality. Being in such an industry, we understand that customer preferences and satisfaction are of paramount importance.”
