Melbourne Metals limited who has been supplying the finest steel to the construction industry for more than two decades has embarked on a mission to build free houses to 500 poor masons islandwide.
This is the first time such a welfare scheme has been implemented, said Ramsy Amanulla CEO of Melbourne Metals limited.
The scheme was launched at Dickwella recently, with the first house built under this scheme, worth Rs. 12 lakes was handed over to a mason by Former Sri Lanka Cricket Captain Kumar Sangakkara and CEO of Melbourne Metals Pvt Limited, Ramsy Amanulla. A scholarship payment of Rs. 25 thousand was made to the mason children.
