To enhance the cooperation and friendship between China and Sri Lanka, the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) donated epidemic prevention materials to Pathfinder Foundation (PF) to help Sri Lankan people in their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first batch of items donated were 5,000 surgical masks (Non-Sterile) worth of 14,000 RMB. The masks meet with the Sri Lankan health authority standards.
The Pathfinder Foundation handed over 4,000 masks to Dr. Rathnasiri Hewage, Director of Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital and 1,000 masks to Dr. Hansika Hanthanapitiya. RHO Pinnawala Intermediate Treatment Centre for COVID patients.
The purpose of CFPD is to support relevant bodies and organizations to participate in international exchanges and cooperation, international public welfare activities and to promote world peace, development, and common prosperity.
The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka facilitated the transfer of the donation of surgical masks between the Pathfinder Foundation and the China Foundation for Peace and Development.
