The Colombo Stock Exchange said yesterday that the year 2021 has been a significant year for the CSE and its stakeholders in many aspects including capital rising.
“We have witnessed the Highest ASPI recorded at 11,024.89 on November 17, 2021 and highest ever Annual Market Turnover was exceeded within eight months of the year at Rs. 800 billion. We are excited for this growth trajectory and are braced with improved infrastructure and processes to support the same”, CSE’s Head of Marketing Niroshan Wijesundera said .
Meanwhile, yesterday too the Colombo bourse refreshed its new highs and remained in the green territory throughout the trading session yesterday whilst recording a healthy turnover over Rs. 9 billion. Thus, the All Share Price Index increased by 115.7 points (+1.1%) to close at 11,025.7 whilst S&P SL20 Index also gained by 16.4 points (+0.4%) to close at 3,767.4.
Browns Investments, Expolanka Holdings, Vallibel One, Brown & Co., and Royal Ceramics remained as the top positive contributors to the ASPI during the day.
