National Business Excellence Awards 2021 launched

The much awaited 17th annual “National Business Excellence Awards 2021” (NBEA), one of the pioneering awards competitions hosted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, will be held in February. The launch of the event was held yesterday. This year too Associated Newspapers of Ceylon (Lake House) will be the Print Media sponsor.

The President of the National Chamber Nandika Buddhipala said that after recognizing the current evolving trends during the Covid19 pandemic, when presenting awards to companies, preference would be given to those who pay emphasis on reducing carbon emission, transforming nature of workplace and increasing tendency of capital.

Initiated as way back as 2004, NBEA has maintained its highest standards and gained much recognition and prestige among the business community as a well- structured Awards Scheme it has today become the symbol of recognizing excellence of businesses in Sri Lanka.

The National Chamber appointed a selected Committee in order to revive the National Business Excellence Awards application to accompany such important emerging trends. The Competition comprises categories Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small and Micro – and diversified industry sectors and it also creates the opportunity for 29 industry sectors to secure awards, category-wise or on evaluation criteria and 92 awards will be presented including Overall, Excellence Winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze.
