The All Share Price Index witnessed a sharp fall at the start of the trading session and gradually recovered and maintained the momentum to conclude the day in red whilst recording a healthy turnover over Rs.8 billion.
Thus, the All Share Price Index decreased by 10.8 points (-0.1%) to close at 10,621.4 whilst S&P SL20 Index gained by 9.7 points (+0.4%) to close at 3,649.9. Commercial Leasing &; Finance was the biggest negative contributor to the ASPI yesterday Further, broader market’s total turnover stood at Rs.8,265.6 million against the 12-month average daily turnover of Rs.4,182.2 million,whilst the volume traded for the day was 375,285.7k against the 12-month average daily volume of 215,069.5k. Food and Beverage, Capital Goods,Transportation and Diversified Financials sectors mostly contributed to yesterday’s turnover.
The top turnover generators for yesterday were LOLC Finance Rs.3,141.1 million (+69.9%), Expolanka Holdings Rs.1,025.2 million (+4.4%), Browns Investments Rs.861.8 million (+4.6%), Commercial Leasing & Finance Rs.677.7 million (-14.8%) and LOLC Holdings Rs.294.7 million (+0.9%). Foreigners recorded an outflow of Rs.38.2 million during the day.
