Intending to spread awareness on the widely growing cosmetic industry and to tackle the stigma around the chemical usage in such cosmetics, a seminar on “The Importance aspects of Cosmetics” will be conducted by the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon via Zoom, on May 15, 2021, from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. The program hopes to cover topics such as the Biochemistry of Skin Care and Ageing and Fragrance Chemistry in Cosmetics by Prof. Nimal Punyasiri, Cosmetic Formulation and Microbiology by Waranajith Chandrathne, Quality Control in Cosmetic Industry by Shashikala Jeewanthi and the Marketing aspects of Cosmetics by Dilshard Perera.
