Bileeta powers Nepal’s health care system during Covid-19 lockdown

PPEs used at remote locations in Nepal.

In the wake of the pandemic, Bileeta (Pvt) Ltd, best known for their innovative ERP solutions both locally and internationally, have been supporting Nepal to supply life saving medications throughout the country, using their globally recognized “Entution Vesta” eLMIS system.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, Bileeta recently extended the functionalities of “Entution Vesta” at the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal to deliver vital, on-demand supply of Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE) such as facemasks, gowns, gloves, face shield and eye protection seamlessly across the correct and relevant supply chains to citizens including the remotest locations in the country.

Delivering these critical protective equipment precisely where and when they are needed safely and reliably every day, the Entution Vesta solution has helped the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal to manage their supply chain smoothly with detailed insights into exact stock availabilities, stockouts, expiries and lead-time. This has resulted in giving the ability for both health facilities and hospitals in Nepal to rapidly execute and treat infected victims without any shortages of the PPEs, in the Central, Provincial, Districts, Local Level Governments and Health Posts across the country at any given time.

Additionally, it has also provided them the ability to plan their production capacities and make the PPE available as per the required need of each region in the country. Overall, Bileeta’s fully integrated and comprehensive solution has been instrumental in strengthening the operations of the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal and given a boost during this pandemic situation created by the Covid-19 to the healthcare systems in the country.

Sanji De Silva, CEO of Bileeta, stated “our mission was to work with leading organizations such as USAID, The Global Fund and UNDP to provide every human being in the world with instant access to vital medical supplies and equipment in real time and on demand .This is what we achieved in Nepal and we hope to implement this solution in many other such counties that require similar support. With our quest of being a technology leader, our end goal is to offer the most technologically advanced solutions that work to deliver timely results for our customers”.

Sanka Weerasinghe, Chief Technical Officer of BILEETA explained “Our solution is designed to be agile, allowing real time feedback. Its architecture is built in a way that any custom extensions do not impact the core product. We have engineered our platform for ease of use, to support all workflows and limit downtime and to work in locations with poor infrastructure.”
