Licheng District donates protective material to Kotte Municipal Council

Licheng District Government Officials Lin Yafen, Subsection Chief of Foreign Affairs Administration Subsection of Licheng District Foreign Affairs Office, Du Bingjun, Director of Licheng District Administration for Market Regulation, Liao Yiqiang, Director of Licheng District Foreign Affairs Office, Su Yijun, Vice Mayor of Licheng District People’s Government, XushiYin’e, Ceylon Princess, Sun Yahong, husband of Ceylon Princess XushiYin’e, Wang Haibo, Head of Licheng District Ceylon Cultural Promotion Association, Chen Nanhua, Deputy Director of General Office of Licheng District People’s Government, Wu Jie (Eric), Staff Member of Licheng District Foreign Affairs Office.

The Licheng District Government of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province donated 20,000 medical disposable masks and 100 ear thermo metres to the Municipal Council of Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte, in support of the Coronavirus epidemic prevention.

The Deputy Mayor of Licheng District People’s Government Su Yijun, Heads of Licheng District Foreign Affairs Office, Licheng District Administration for Market Regulation, Licheng District Ceylon Cultural Promotion Association, Ceylon Princess XushiYin’e and her husband was present at the ceremony.

The material which was flown by air were received by Madhura Vithanage, Mayor of the Municipal Council of Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte. Subsequently the items would be delivered to hospitals and other institutions. Licheng and Sri Lanka has a long history, since 2016, on the basis of in-depth excavation, sorting and promotion of the historical and cultural origins of the ancient Ceylon prince, who hailed from the Kingdom of Kotte, then Ceylon, in Quanzhou, Licheng District People’s Government has focused on strengthening cultural and economic exchanges with Sri Lanka and actively promoting the formal establishment of friendship city relationship with Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte.
