To advance Sri Lanka’s transition into a Green Economy, Nations Trust Bank PLC and University of Colombo have entered into a broad MoU, where the bank seeks to support the University to conduct research, spur innovation and build capacity through appointment of a Research Chair and introduction of new study programmes, including on Sustainable Finance and Sustainable Agriculture.
Prof. Chandrika N. Wijeyaratne, Vice-Chancellor of University of Colombo and Ms. Renuka Fernando, CEO of Nations Trust Bank signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations and were joined by faculty members of the Department of Economics Rev. Prof. Wijithapura Wimalarathna, Prof. Sirimal Abeyratne and Dr. Prasad Serasinghe and by Corporate Management members of Nations Trust Bank DCEO Priyantha Talwatte and General Counsel Theja Silva
