Hotel Show Colombo 29, would be held at the BMICH from November 12 to 14. Exhibitors have already registered, while 250 organizations would be present.
Presenters would offer products, technology and services that cater to hospitality and tourism sectors. Buyers, visitors and exhibitors too could register online and print out passes. Special parking arrangements are available.
On November 12, there would be a Bocuse d’Or competition, while on November 13, there would be a national room stylist challenge, an invitation-only session by CEO Minor Hotels Dillip Rajakarier, a Coffee Master Class and a Master Class on dessert. On November 14, there would be a national barista championship, a bar champions event, a master class on starters and main courses and a housekeeping masterclass.
The exhibition is been organized by the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association, together with CDC Events & Travels. The event has the support of the State as well as private sectors.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Future of Hospitality Today.”
The event would take place from 10 am to 9 pm. Trevine Gomez, Chairman of the Organising Committee of Hotel Show said, “In order to run a hotel successfully, hoteliers must embrace change and constantly seek to invest in the latest solutions to deliver the ultimate guest experiences.”
Regional competitions for the National championship were held considering hotel density. Regions were defined as; Colombo, Negombo, Sigiriya - Cultural Triangle, North, and the East, Kandy - Central and Hill Country, Kaluthara - South, and Galle - Deep South.
