The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) has organized a comprehensive full day Seminar on “Customs Procedures and Documentation” to be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo 03. CNCI’s Secretary General, Abeyratne Muthugala said that they have identified the need for many of the company employees engaged in logistics and administrative areas under Imports and Exports do need development in the subjects and constant updates for their professional efficiency as well as their personal development. Similarly, Customs procedures for exports and imports are getting fast modified with the introduction of new systems into trade facilitation. He further said that due to these reasons, there were many demands from companies to organize a seminar of this calibre.
This important seminar would be conducted by Deputy Directors of Customs C. S. A. Chandrasekare and T. G. A. Arachchi, with Deputy Superintendent of Customs I. U. S. Jayaratne with their expertise and decades of experience in the field.
The areas that are expected to be covered at the seminar include an Overview of Sri Lanka Customs, Bond Procedures, TIEP and Entrepot Trade, Multi Country Consolidation and Imports / Exports Procedures etc.
