Moreover, the All Share Price Index increased by 25.9 points (+0.3%) to close at 7,939.4 yesterday whilst the S&P SL20 Index also gained 9.9 points (+0.3%) to close the day at 3,012.2. Browns Investments, John Keells Holdings, LOLC Holdings, Kotamale Holdings and Asiri Hospitals remained as the top positive contributors to the ASPI during the day. Further, broader market’s total turnover stood at LKR2, 051.3 mn against the 12-month average daily turnover of LKR3, 127.0 mn, whilst the volume traded for the day was 126,635.1k against the 12-month average daily volume of 176,223.7k. Banking, Capital Goods, Diversified Financials, Food and Beverage and Transportation were the main sectors that contributed to the daily turnover.
The top traded counters for yesterday were Lanka Milk Foods LKR340.0 mn (+1.7%), Kandy Hotels LKR215.8 mn (+19.6%), Expolanka Holdings LKR185.9 mn (+0.4%), Browns Investments LKR184.7 mn (+3.3%) and LOLC Holdings LKR 184.5 mn (+0.8%).
