Perera, a former Director of Ceylon Tourist Board and Sri Lanka Tourism and assisted by founder Directors Noble, Praki, Navein and Ranil Perera together with a team of dedicated staff has achieved a further milestone in reaching 41 years in the travel tourism and hospitality industry in Sri Lanka.
The management expresses sincere appreciation and thanks for the support extended by their valued clients, airlines, hotels, civil aviation, Sri Lanka Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and banks for sustaining the company to grow further in providing value added services in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry of Sri Lanka and internationally.
Nihal Perera also stated that Sparklink Travels will continue to satisfy the customers’ demands for outbound and inbound travel and looks forward to overcome the present downturn in the industry due to COVID19 setback for travel worldwide and bounce back once airports reopen and the pandemic subsides with the excellent action taken by the Government under the leadership of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa together with the active action taken by the Tri Forces, officials of The Ministry Of Health to make Sri Lanka a safe destination to ensure safety for travel. The hotel sector should extend special packages to Sri Lankans to travel for leisure within the country as the Government has relaxed internal travel restrictions.
“The continued Appointment of Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga and grant of US$ 3.7 million to promote tourism under US AID certainly augurs well for the development of tourism in Sri Lanka,” Perera said.
