The 13th edition of the “THE WEDDING SHOW 2020” will be held from the 14-16 February at the BMICH COLOMBO. The show is currently the largest wedding convention in Sri Lanka.
There will be over 250 wedding industry professionals at the event. The event was formally announced to the media on 3 January at the Hilton Colombo Residencies.
The exhibition exclusive platform for premium
products and services. Amongst others Bridal dressers, salons, beauty therapists, cake decorators, caterers, gift tame, beauty salon products, health products cosmetics, printers, jewelers, photographers, hotel, and banks are to have stalls at the event. Visitors will be able to source all products and services required for a modern wedding.
The event is organized by Asia Exhibition & Conventions in partnership with Sirasa Subhasiri. Both organizers identify as thought leaders and trend setters in the wedding industry.
Dinindu Shehan and Piyumi Dulanjala, a couple from the previous exhibition, were selected as the winners of a free wedding through a raffle draw. The free wedding will be on 9 January at the Hilton Colombo Residences. There shall be similar prizes and discounts on offer at the event this year.
The objective of the event is to provide consistency, efficiency, knowledge, ability and sustainability and to give visitors a feel of being immersed in a show that is on par with global standards. Organisers say that they have continuously created a benchmark for the industy through the show. This has only grown with experience. This has made it necessary for leading suppliers from all parts of the island to converge under one roof.
A website for the event has been launched for the event with a .lk domain name.
Director Promotions MTV Priyantha Wijesinghe said that every year this event sets the trends seen in weddings all over Sri Lanka. He said the exhibition is a landmark event on the calendar of the whole industry community.
