NDB triumphs at Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards

NDB Bank was honoured at the “Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2019”as a Top Ten Best Corporate Citizen, at the annual event organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, to recognize sustainable champions of the local corporate sphere.

The Awards assess the interactions of a corporate entity with its stakeholders – the environment, their employees, customers, suppliers, the community, government, and other shareholders.

The awards ceremony was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, amidst a gathering of over 300 distinguished corporate executives.

Consistently ranked among the Top 10 Best Corporate Citizens in Sri Lanka, NDB has been recognised as a brand journeying beyond contemporary business practices, winning the award a total of 05 times in the past.

Commenting on the achievement, NDB Bank’s Senior Manager - Corporate Sustainability, Sharon De Silva said, “We are honoured to be recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s Top Ten Best Corporate Citizens and remain committed to our sustainable value creation agenda.” For four decades NDB has always been a front-runner to the development of the country as a whole.
