The World Bank has approved a USD 25 million loan to the Government of Sri Lanka.
The loan will be used to enhance the transparency and efficiency of core government and public financial management functions.
The World Bank stated that, the Public Sector Efficiency Strengthening Project will help strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Finance, improve efficiency and provide better services. The use of information technology and increased human resources capabilities will be key drivers of the project.
