The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), the Nation’s Management Mentor, presented another batch of 344managers at its convocation held on November 02, at the BMICH.
Among them were candidate who received the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration. Candidates who had excelled in their performances received Gold Medals, were Prof. Uditha Liyanage Gold Medal for Best Performance at the Master of Business Administration Degree, 2017-2019 and the Dr. Wickrema Weerasooria Gold Medal for the Best Performance at the Executive Master of Business Administration Degree, 2018-2019.
Recipients of the first batch of Muskat, Oman and the sixth batch of Dubai, UAE were there, together with their Colombo counterparts. The convocation was opened by the Chancellor, Ven. Ittepane Dhammalankara Thera. Prof. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri, Director, PIM, read the names of the candidates. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Snr. Prof. Sampath Amarthunga also participated in the proceedings.
The Faculty members of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Postgraduate Institute of Management also graced the occasion. Carl Cruz, Chairman, Unilever Sri Lanka, the chief guest at the convocation, delivered the convocation on the theme “Unleashing the Power to Lead: Creating Leaders with a Global Presence and Local Pulse”.
