New row - seeding machine invented

A row - seeding machine has been invented by Kirushnamoorthy Ravithas of Sivan Kovil Road, Thambiluvil-2, Thirukkovil in the Ampara district recently.

With the help of this row - seeding machine about three acres of highland crops such a maize, green gram, cow-pea and ground nut could be row - sown.

At a time four rows could be sown. The backside circle in the machine will divide on the rows to be sown, and automatically dig the holes and cover them up.

Within the short time and with less expense, the crops could be sown in a vast extent of land.

In the 2010 this machine was invented by Ravithas.

By now this machine is operated mechanically.

A demonstration was done recently at Sagamam area most of the farmers and officials witnessed the row seeding by this machine. Thirukkovil Assistant Divisional Secretary S. Jeyaroopan and Agriculture Instructor Tharsini Ravichandran participated.
