Ground broken for Hemas’ Ayati Center for Children

Defence State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene with Kelaniya University’s Medicine Faculty Dean and Ayati Trust Chairperson Prof Nilanthi de Silva and Hemas Holdings Group Director and AYATI Trust Sri Lanka Deputy Chairperson Abbas Esufally, Hemas Holdings CEO Steven Enderby with cricketer Roshan Mahanama and officials at Ragama.

Hemas Holdings together with the Kelaniya University Medical Faculty held its groundbreaking ceremony to establish Ayati, a center dedicated for children with disabilities.

Defence State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene and distinguished personalities, along with the members of AYATI Trust Sri Lanka were present.

The Center will be managed by an eminent Board of Trustees, chaired by Kelaniya University’s Medicine Faculty Dean and will also have support from cricketing legends Kumar Sangakkara and Roshan Mahanama, who will play a crucial role as trustees and spokesmen for the Ayati trust.They will join a national campaign to create better awareness among the public of the needs of children with disabilities, and raise the support necessary for construction of the facility within the projected period of 12 months.
