Malaysian Amana Foundation enters in to agreement with Eastern Province Chief Minister

 Malaysian Amana Foundation Director, Ash-Sheik Moulana Moulavi Abdul Qadhir Azhari headed a high powered committee recently met Eastern Province Chief Minister, Haafiz Nazeer Ahamed and had discussion various development programme and employment opportunity of the private sectors.

The Malaysian Amana Foundation has entered in to an agreement with the Eastern Province Chief Minister for several assistance programmes, at this event.

The visit of International investors to the Eastern Province has considerably increased. Especially in the Eastern Province where the development programs in the future will also be strengthen. This will definitely confirm the Economic stability and an environment of tranquility in the country.

There are three districts in the Eastern Province namely Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee. The Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Buddhists are living here peacefully without any conflicts. This has really attracted the International investors who come to Sri Lanka.

The Tourists both local and International who visited Pottuvil, Arugam Bay in Ampara District, Pasikudha in Batticaloa District, Nelaveli in Trincomalee District have now doing back in large numbers for development and investment purposes.

The natural harbor in Trincomalee, Commercial and fishing harbors in Oluvil are in the Eastern Province. Cement and wheat flour are received through the Trincomalee harbor and there are several benefits by the fishing and commercial harbors of Oluvil in the Ampara District.

The investors from the International countries who visit the Eastern Provincial Governor, Chief Minister, Provincial Ministers, Provincial Councilors, Chairman of the Local Government Authorities, Departmental Heads and Traders and expressed their willingness and desire to invest in the future in this region.

‘Let us invest in the East’ this was the main topic at a conference convened by the Eastern Province Agriculture, Animal Production and Health, Rural Industries, Fisheries and Tourism Ministry in Colombo last year. This has invited the attention of all investors who attended this conference.

Over 500 local and foreign investors including some of the big global companies was attended the Invest in Eastern Sri Lanka – Expo and Forum 2016 held in Colombo on January 28th and 29th at the Galadari Hotel. Eastern Province Chief Minister, Hafis Nazeer Ahamed was organised this forum.
