HP ranked No. 1 in PC's, notebooks in Sri Lanka

 HP Inc. was ranked as No. 1 in PC and notebook shipments in Sri Lanka for Q3 2016, as per data released by internationally renowned IDC Asia and Pacific in their quarterly PC Market Executive Summary.

HP’s commitment to deliver award winning products that continuously amaze and satisfy customers resulted in the achievement of this significant milestone. The better than expected results reflect an effort by HP to capitalize on market consolidation and future stabilization.

The increase in volume by HP during the second half of the year and projected stronger demand going forward enabled the brand to further establish their No.1 position.

“It’s a great achievement by HP in Sri Lanka and our commitment to provide Sri Lankan customers with a range of high quality products supported by the latest technology gives us the winning edge”, said HP Inc. Managing Director for Asian Emerging Countries, Christian Reyes.

“We are well supported by our distributors, channel partners and retail partners throughout Sri Lanka. A customer can get an original HP product from Matara, Jaffna, Kandy, Ratnapura and any town or city in between, this is the strength of HP's dealer network,” he further shared.

HP Inc.’s efforts to update products, leverage new processors and operating systems and deliver a better computing experience have been critical for the capitalization of personal computers and notebooks market share and growth in 2016 Q3.

HP dazzled its consumers with the introduction of the premium consumer notebook, the HP Spectre 13 and other premium commercial products including the latest HP Elite Book series. In addition, HP also created a new standard for commercial mobility with the introduction of the revolutionary HP Elite X3.

“The Sri Lankan market has great potential for growth and HP is in a position to further increase its market share.” said Christian Reyes. “HP also had a stronger demand from business users and this helped us further enhance our market leadership position in Sri Lanka.” he concluded.
