The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) has congratulated its member Shehan Seneviratne on his outstanding achievement in receiving the “Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 – National Platinum winner” award at a ceremony held on December 7 organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Sri Lanka (FCCISL).
Seneviratne is the Chairman and Managing Director of SMS Holdings, a market leader in standardised cement-based products, specializing in all paving requirements. His accolade serves as a strong example of excellence in business practices and innovation, and commitment to community progress.
Commenting on his success at the Awards ceremony, COYLE Chairman Kasun Rajapaksa said; “Sri Lankan entrepreneurs play an important role in our society and each year the Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year Award event recognizes the level of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Sustainability and Commitment to Corporate Responsibility displayed across the local business community. We are delighted to celebrate the contribution made by Seneviratne not just for the benefit of the company itself, but also to the wider community and to the many beneficiaries of his organization and business partners.
He added, “The continuing commitment by businesses to contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and our community is absolutely crucial for society at large.
These awards allow us to say ‘well done’ to all concerned in the various areas of business activity and act as an incentive to encourage more entrepreneurial successes.”
The Chairman of COYLE also acknowledged and thanked of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Sri Lanka (FCCISL) for its commitment in organizing this prestigious event to recognize, motivate and encourage the Sri Lankan entrepreneurs representing the different categories of business sectors and also congratulates all the other award winners at this years award ceremony.
