YCE launches scholarship program for 2021

Youth Continuing Education (YCE) launches its scholarship program for 2021, partnering up with the International Cyber Security Sri Lanka and Finch University West London.

“Youth Continuing Education is excited to launch this new scholarship program to help ease the financial burden of students pursuing higher education in business management, marketing management, finance management, accounting and criminology. The program offers fully-funded scholarships for 400 students to join a well-recognized certification program conducted by the Finch University West London that total project worth over Rs. 8.5 million,|” an official said.

The scholarship program resulted from a deep collaboration between Youth Continuing Education and Finch University West London and International Cyber Security Sri Lanka. The initiative is funded by the YCE, a nonprofit charitable organization that works tirelessly to provide immediate support to youth who need and deserve any help with regards to their higher education.

The scholarship will be granted considering their academic records, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, statement of goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances. Chairman of International Cyber Security Sri Lanka Jassim Ismail said they are happy that they are finally able to launch the program overcoming challenges they had to face due to the covid-19 pandemic situation in the world.

“This program provides an opportunity for the students with financial struggles to obtain a professional qualification to kick start their career in an industry of their choice without having to worry about funds.”

Students who sat for G.C.E. O/L examination in Sri Lanka is qualified to apply for the program and the application for registration has been commended. All the courses are completely conducted online. International Cyber Security is the official certificate partner of the program offering a certification that is recognized in many countries.

“The decision to create the scholarship shows Youth Continuing Education and International Cyber Security’s commitment to helping the young generation of the country as they pursue their education and career. We look forward to continuing this initiative in the years to come and help more students with their higher education.”
