Xiaomi launches Redmi 9A, Redmi 9C in Sri Lanka

Xiaomi, global technology leader, announced the latest addition to their budget line-up of devices in Sri Lanka with two new smartphones- Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C.

With the introduction of these two new smartphones Xiaomi aims to further democratize the technology that has been developed for the budget segment.

Redmi 9A features a 16.5cm (6.53) HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio as compared to TFT screen panels with 18:9 aspect ratio which are present on smartphones in this segment. It also comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification allowing better visibility in reading mode. 

The device sports an octa-core MediaTekHelio G25 chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz which handles day-to-day tasks and multi-tasking with ease. It is available in 2GB+32GB and comes with a 2+1 dual SIM slot and dedicated microSD card slot allowing expansion up to 512GB.

Redmi 9A is powered by a 5000mAh Enhanced two-day battery providing a longer lifespan as compared to a regular battery. Redmi 9A offers a 13MP AI camera on the rear with features such as AI Portrait mode, AI scene detection. Camera software has been optimized to bring features like document scanner and kaleidoscope. It also has a 5MP AI selfie camera with AI portrait mode, and helps with AI face unlock. 

This brand-new entry-level smartphone is equipped with a massive 6.53” Dot Drop display for an immersive viewing experience and a 5000mAh high-capacity battery that satisfies users who want to do more. Redmi 9C features MediaTekHelio G35, an octa-core gaming chipset which can go up to 2.3GHz.

Redmi 9C sports the AI triple camera that can quickly and easily capture crisp and clear images in a variety of situations. The device sports a 13MP main camera, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro camera and an LED flash. The AI selfie camera is powered by a 5MP sensor.
