GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Sri Lanka (GSK) bagged three awards at the coveted SLIM Brand Excellence Awards held at the Shangri–La Hotel, Colombo recently. GSK’s Iodex brand clinched silver and bronze in the “International Brand of the Year” and “Turnaround Brand of the Year” categories while GSK’s Eno brand claimed bronze in the “International Brand of the Year” category.
Iodex is a topical Ayurvedic balm for pain relief, and Eno is an antacid for providing symptomatic relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach and upset stomach.
Both products were able to showcase excellent performance in the local market and among consumers through a clearly focused brand strategy, underpinned by consumer insights, executed flawlessly with the help of the sales and customer marketing team at GSK.
Organised annually by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, the apex body for marketing in Sri Lanka, the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards recognises brand excellence at national level and rewards the efforts of outstanding brands across different categories.
