Mariyadas Selvaraj, Chairman of Sriyani Dress Point, was awarded a Doctorate in Business Administration from the American University College at a function held at Hotel Ramadha in Colombo. This was mainly for his dedication in uplifting Sriyani Dress Point and his elevation of it as the premier garment fashion store in Sri Lanka.
Established in 1971 with just four employees, Sriyani Dress Point has managed to open nine branches so far with over 2,000 employees. Their newest branch will be opening soon in Ratnapura. Selvaraj said he was highly smotivated with this award given for his efforts in the field of business and also thanked loyal customers who kept faith in them as well as the well dedicated staff and management in taking Sriyani Dress Point.
