Dialog conducts events for Club Vision members, customers

As part of its ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional experiences to its valued Club Vision members and customers, Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, hosted a series of exclusive virtual events.

The event line-up was a webinar on ‘Automation in the Banking and Finance Sector’ which was conducted in partnership with Dialog Club Vision and SLASSCOM.

Riveting case studies based on Robotic Process Automation in the banking industry were reviewed and presented by Dilini De Alwis of JKIT, Sanjaya Dayananda of Millenium IT and Dhanusha Muthukumarana of Potenza. Dialog Club Vision Platinum and Gold members and their families were provided free registration and admission to the event.

Dialog also invited Club Vision Red members to take part in an exclusive LIVE online gaming tournament - the ‘COD Mobile Solo Challenge’. This tournament, held in collaboration with Dialog Gaming, was concluded with winners walking away with attractive prizes.

The next event in the line-up was the ‘TechKids Summer App Hackathon’, in collaboration with SLASSCOM which saw an online workshop spanning six sessions guiding children between the ages of 10-16 through ideation, coding and mobile application development.

The winners received scholarships to take part in the TechKids coding programme. The ‘Kids Can Code 2021’ was another webinar carried out in collaboration with SLASSCOM, exclusively for Dialog customers’ children on the basics of coding that provided an interactive and immersive virtual learning experience for children aged 12-16 years.

Children from districts of Ratnapura, Kegalle, Anuradhapura, Badulla, Hambantota, Nuwaraeliya, Matale, Ampara and Moneragala actively participated in the event.

Through the ‘Stay Strong (Suwathi Diviyata Athwalak) programme, Dialog invited a segment of their senior citizen customers to participate in a LIVE streaming session on well-being, which was hosted on YouTube.

The session touched on the topics of proactive steps that can be taken to control non-communicable diseases and the importance of maintaining physical fitness and mental well-being during the pandemic. This was one of many in a series of initiatives that focus on supporting senior citizens to adapt to a culture of mindfulness, well-being and digital lifestyle during this pandemic era.
