The COVID-19 Diagnostics Centre of Credence Genomics is the fastest and highest throughput operational testing facility in Sri Lanka with a reporting time of four hours.
The facility uses automated RNA extractors with a diagnostic grade RT-PCR platform developed in Denmark across its sterile pressure-controlled facility adhering to an internationally accepted Quality Control and Assurance system.
The Ministry of Health has approved Credence Covid-19 Diagnostics Centre to handle all tourist arrivals, outbound passengers, hotel guests, airports and seaports along with companies in the Board of Investment Industrial zones. Another unique feature Credence Genomics Covid-19 Diagnostics Centre offers is environmental testing for the presence of Covid-19 for schools and workplaces. Credence Genomics Covid-19 Diagnostics Centre has teamed up with Abans PLC to provide an integrated sanitization solution to ensure a safe COVID free environment.
President of the COVID-19 Diagnostics Centre Dr Sarath Paranavitane said, “We feel that COVID-19 needs to be dealt with holistically and going beyond conventional testing, we are now looking at ensuring that workplaces and schools are also safe and Covid-19 free using a validated testing process.”
