Smart edge holds awards ceremony

The Smart Edge (Student Mental Health and Resilience Transition) held its annual Felicitation and Awards ceremony, for achievers, aimed at motivating those who excelled at GEC Advanced Level Examination in 2018 and obtained admission to Universities recently.

Thirty one students from Addalaichenai Central College (National School) and Al-Muneera Girls High School were honoured.

This ceremony was presided by the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat Physiological Counselor Manoos Aboobakkar. The Eastern Province Chief Ministry’s Secretary U.L.A.Azees was the Chief Guest.

Sammanthurai Divisional Secretary S.L.M. Haniffa, the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) Faculty of Applied Sciences Senior Lecturer Professor Dr. Aboobacker Jahufer, Addalaichenai Assistant Divisional Secretary M.A.C. Ahamed Nazeel, Addalaichenai Jummah Grand Mosque President M.S. Junaideen, SLMC Deputy Leader and senior attorney–at–law S.M.A. Gaffoor, Eastern Province Public Service Commission member S.L.M. Faleel, Addalaichenai MOH Dr. A.M. Ismail and Addalaichenai Smart Edge officials participated were present at the occasion.

The keynote speech was delivered by the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) Faculty of Applied Sciences Senior Lecturer Professor Dr. Aboobacker Jahufer.
