The government has considered granting the one year moratorium on capital and interest repayment of loans taken by the support services providers in the tourism sector, particularly suppliers in the transport sector, who are not presently covered under this initiative.
The government introduced a one year moratorium for tourism sector from banks to assist tourism sector stakeholders who were greatly affected by the Easter Sunday attacks.
To be eligible for this initiative, service providers are required to register with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority under the current provisions.
