MTI Consulting has been retained to develop the 5 year Strategic Plan for Bhutan’s Public Benefit Organization; Tarayana Foundation. The assignment would help formulate its strategic direction, covering a five-year time horizon ensuring inclusiveness, sustainability and shock-responsiveness to overcome the impact of the pandemic.
“Since the inception, the focus of the Tarayana Foundation has been on uplifting the livelihoods of the grassroot level communities of Bhutan. Given the local and global dynamics, we see the need to reassess the requirements of the communities we currently serve, refocus and realign our strategic direction appropriately” said Chime P. Wangdi, Secretary General of Tarayana Foundation
“With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting economies across the world, we see the importance of taking these implications into context when framing Tarayana’s strategic plan. For which, a comprehensive research-based strategizing approach is required. MTI’s 8S Model; which is an internationally proven strategic planning model will be customized and used as the master model to facilitate this.” Said Hilmy Cader, CEO of MTI Consulting.
“We see great potential for Tarayana Foundation to serve and uplift more communities in Bhutan and we are pleased to be on board to facilitate and enable this outcome. The strategic plan will include (but not limited to) stakeholder input gathering, overall conceptual framework, capacity strengthening approaches and fundraising strategy. The project will be executed via MTI’s international team as well as on-the-ground teams including MTI’s Bhutan-based associate; Druk Associates,”, said Rajika Sangakkara, Country Lead for Bhutan Operations
Tarayana Foundation is a Public Benefit Organization founded by Her Majesty The Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck and registered with the Civil Society Organization Authority of Bhutan. The Foundation works in remote, rural villages to bring about holistic community growth and development serving the needy communities.
